My research includes: online music learning, higher education, teaching and learning online, assessment, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and the critical components of online pedagogy.

Rationale for Research: The availability of post-secondary music education is dependent upon social class, locale, and the accessibility of qualified teachers. Development of an online music education delivery model, which responds to these inequities, requires an understanding of design, communication technologies and pedagogy informed by appropriate research and praxis. This intersection of innovative learning technology and music education research affords support to the complexities of giving voice to cultural expression and individual experiences.
